Campagnola

Founded in 1907 in Marano, in the heart of the Vapolicella, this family enterprise run by Guiseppe Campagnola, is one of the region’s leading wineries. They proudly produce classic Venetian appellation wines with grapes sourced from the family’s own vineyards. They also purchase grapes from over 50 growers who they work with closely to assure a continual supply of top quality grapes. The Campagnola family work meticulously, from the vineyard to the chai, the proof of which can tasted in their wines.

The family’s portfolio is confirmation that quality and value are not mutually exclusive. Vintage upon vintage, the wines show exceptional precision and reflect the best of what each appellation has to offer. Great wines are a result of good grape growing, and wether they be indigenous or international varieties, the Campagnola’s understand what is needed to maximize each. Their IGT wines, pinot grigio and chardonnay, are amongst our best selling white wines in both our private import and SAQ portfolios, combining quality with exceptional value. The flagship wine is the cuvée Caterina Zinardi, in both DOCG Valpolicella and Amarone. They are the product of the estate’s best vineyards, made with the attentive winemaking that has been the trademark of Campagnola wines.

The family also has an important negociant business which it has developed over the past years which allows them to produce entry level wines from not only Veneto, but as well from other Italian regions. Their nero d’avola “Cataldo” and Merlot Colli Euganei “Il Brolo” are both superb examples of this new enterprise, made with the same care that has made Campagnola such a success.

We applaud Guiseppe Campagnola and his team for their consistently great work, and remarkable ability to produce great value wines without sacrificing quality.
